Almost 29 Weeks

Sorry this post was delayed. We are in the midst of a computer crash. I finally got around to using Jeremy's laptop. So, Thursday afternoon I had an appointment with my diabetes doctor. My blood sugars have been steadily decreasing over the last week. Even though this sounds like a good thing, it is actually a sign of placenta deterioration. This is the same exact problem that I had during my pregnancy with Kylie, and it was what caused her premature delivery. The doctor did take me off a portion of my insulin, and was concerned about my prognosis. I went to my scheduled ultrasound on Friday, anxious about what my OB was going to say. The ultrasound showed that my uterine measurements were a result of a combination of the baby being large and that I have some excess amniotic fluid, but not enough to cause too much concern. My OB did want me to see the perinatalogist, Dr. Christmas, as soon as possible. They are hoping to get me in to see him early this next week. This is the same specialist that we saw during Kylie's pregnancy. Right now we are just waiting to get the specialist's verdict on the situation. Yesterday, the baby looked good on ultrasound and during some more monitoring while I was at the OB's office. Please keep us in your prayers. We are trusting God to see us through, as he always has. Love you all, and thank you to God Almighty who has for now blessed us with these.

P.S. The baby birds are getting so big and now have tons of feathers. They actually look like birds now! :) I have a couple pictures, but with the computer down I can't post them right now.
