The Tale of a Toad Named "Jumps"

Last Friday the kids discovered a toad in the backyard. We often have toads in our Coi Pond, but they hide very well and most of the time the kids don't even know they're there. As usual, Kylie was the first to dive in after it. She has such a love for animals, as you can see from the video!! She carried the toad talking to it, for quite awhile that day. John David wasn't to keen on touching it, but Caitlyn was not squeamish. Eventually, "Jumps", as he was aptly named, escaped, much to the dismay of the kids. It's times like these that I am reminded of how incredible and free it is to be a kid. The joy, curiosity, and pure innocence on their faces makes you want to jump right in there with them! As much as I felt sorry for the poor toad, I couldn't help but bask in their excitement. Enjoy the video! Love you all, and thank you to God Almighty for all creatures great and small.
